Common questions
How do I play?
Swipe a number tile onto a neighboring tile — above, below, left or right. The tile you land on becomes its value minus the one you moved, and the tile you moved clears to zero. Negative numbers are allowed, and often the key to a level. Clear every tile to finish.
What if I make a wrong move?
Tap Undo to take it back, or Restart to try the level again. If a move leaves the board impossible to clear, KLEAR tells you straight away, so you are never stuck guessing.
How do hints work?
You start with three. You earn another the first time you clear every fifth level, and for every Daily Challenge you complete. A hint shows you the next move of a solution, stepping back first if the board can no longer be finished in time. Each hint used costs a star on that level.
Is there a new puzzle every day?
Yes. The Daily Challenge is the same puzzle for every player, and it gets harder through the week. If you allow notifications, KLEAR can remind you each morning.
Does KLEAR need an internet connection?
No. Every level and every Daily Challenge is built on your device, so you can play anywhere.
Which devices does KLEAR support?
KLEAR runs on iOS and Android. The store listing shows the minimum operating system version.
How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?
Email us. Bug reports are most useful with your device model, your OS version, the KLEAR version from the app's settings, and what you were doing when it went wrong.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting the app removes the data it stored on your device. Our privacy policy explains what is kept and for how long.
